All settings are done on the Pull-down Menu, To find this on your Browser look at the top-most line in your browser; you should see these choices ' File , Edit, View, ...etc', this is call the Pull-down menu. Make all the settings in this row, below you should find all required infomation depending on your browser.

If you're using AOL's built-in browser, the procedure differs, as explained HERE.

I've done my best to make these instructions as accurate and complete as I possible. Please let me know if this was helpful and, if not, I'll be happy to try to help anyone that needs further assistance.

When using the use AOL browser you may get a Java script error but, when using another browser outside AOL this does not occur. AOL uses compressed graphics by Default, and that in turn doesn't allow Java to work while browsing inside of AOL. (This also makes photos you view on web pages look less than their best.)

Do the following:
Click--"My AOL", Click--"Preferences"
Click-- "WWW" icon
Click--"Web Graphics" tab
Uncheck the box next to "Use Compressed Graphics".
Click--"OK" Restart the computer.

AOL has both 16-bit and 32-bit versions of AOL 4.0. Only the 32-bit versions have full Java capabilites.

AOL's default IE 3.x browser "sometimes" does not allow a Document write to a new Window - in other words, a pop-up window. The solution is to make sure you are using IE 4.01 (or newer) or Netscape 4.05 (or newer) to access Java sites.
